The game crashes after having played the intro sequence.
Make sure you meet the minimum requirements. You'll need at least a Radeon 9600 or a NVIDIA GeForce4. GeForce4MX and Intel integrated graphics are not supported, except the latest Intel X3100.

The game crashes when loading in-between levels
Try and repair the Permissions on the hard drive, you do this by: Opening Disk Utility in Applications/Utilities, select the hard drive and click the Repair Disk Permissions button.

The game crashes and burns yet or in any other places, during playing etc
-Double check that you meet the minimum requirements, use About This Mac in Finder Apple menu and then More Info for details on your computer.
OS: Mac OS X 10.4 or newer
    Processor: 1.5Ghz
    Memory: 512MB
    Disc Space: 300MB free(for demo)
Video Card: Radeon 9600/GeForce 4(GeForce4MX & Intel integrated not supported)
- Run an update to make sure you are running the latest version of Mac OS X possible.
- Check our Penumbra: Overture for Mac updates to see if there is a new version of the game.
- Go to our Forum and post all the details you can about the crash, your system and other details you can think of.

I have an ATI HD graphics card and the graphics are really strange in Penumbra: Overture
Get the latest update for Penumbra: Overture to fix the problem.

I have downloaded the game(as a .DMG file) and when I try to mount the image I get an error!
It seems that for some users the computer tries to be smart and adds a ".gz" extension to the downloaded file, make sure you remove it so that the file name ends with .dmg. If you can't see file extensions, go to the Finder menu, select Preferences... and under Advanced, check Show all file extensions.

I want to play the game in German, French or any other language not English.
Sorry, we only offer the game in English. It is possible to translate the game into another language, check the Modification Forum for details if you are interested in doing a user translation.
