What drivers are:
A driver is a piece of software that makes a specific hardware in your computer work as intended. Drivers are constantly updated to add new features, fix errors or to make sure that the hardware is still functioning with new versions of Windows, other software or hardware.

Where do I find drivers?
Drivers are provided by the creator of your hardware, typically a sound card or a video card when in relation to playing games. View your computers manual to find out what manufacture you have, or use the guide on using the DirectX Diagnostic Tool to find out the information. When you know the manufacture you can visit their support site to download drivers, there is also a list on our support site for common manufactures of graphics and audio cards.

OK, I downloaded some drivers, now what?
In 99% of the cases the download is a program(.exe), run it and follow the guidelines! In general, always uninstall the current driver, restart the computer and then install the new driver.
